Only a year has passed since the release of MASCHINE BRENNT's previous full-length album "Puls", but this one-man project from Swedish musician Joacim Thenander (formerly one of the founders of CULTIVATED BIMBO) is already ready to present brand-new release. Moreover, all the listeners who were already well acquainted with the earlier MASCHINE BRENNT releases - recorded mainly in the minimal electro/machine-pop styles - will be very surprised! "Grief" is a completely conceptual, thoughtful and very atmospheric piece of work, gravitating towards classic-ambient with elements of Berlin school electro and experimental electronic music and evokes strong associations not only with the music of KRAFTWERK, but also with TANGERINE DREAM, BRIAN ENO and VANGELIS. This album was conceived as a kind of bitter soundtrack to our current reality, with all its unpredictable turbulence and problems, the list of which, unfortunately, can be really long: alienation, pandemics, war conflicts, political confrontations etc. In addition, one of the inspirations for "Grief" was a photo exhibition by Russian photographer Pavel Otdelnov, dedicated to the "industrial beauty" of a chemical plant in Dzerzhinsk/In stock: 20.02.2023/
